Using Analysts for Cold Case Investigations

This webinar will explore how VSP integrates cold case analysts into investigations alongside assigned Special Agents, as well as how similar support is provided to local and federal law enforcement agencies across the Commonwealth. It will cover the direct case support offered to agents, including coordination with the state lab and external labs for evidence testing. Additionally, the discussion will delve into the use of SAKI funding for analyzing and supporting cold cases with a sexual assault nexus and how federal funds allocated to the Virginia Attorney General's Office are utilized to cover lab testing costs.
